Why Work Remotely?
Ways of working has changed over the years. Up until the 2000's it wasn't feasible for most people to work from home because IT infrastructure wasn't very good. It was expensive to connect to company networks or the Internet, slow to transfer files and the connections were not reliable as they were via the telephone network.
As remote working got cheaper, faster and more reliable, more and more people started to work remotely on a full or partial basis.
Then COVID-19 hit in 2020 and governments around the world instructed people to stay at home for several months. This accelerated many companies to move to a remote way of working.
