Mornings

Now that I don't have a commute I felt that I should put that 'commute' time to good use and not just stay in bed until the last second before 9am!

When the weather is warm and bright I like to get outside for a run, if that isn't your thing then at least get outside for a walk and listen to a podcast/music.

On colder/wetter days I stay inside and do a full body 7 minute workout. I can highly recommend Workout Daily. It will leave you aching in a good way.

With my kitchen available it means I no longer have to rely on sandwiches! When at an office I would go for a sandwich, crisps and a small cookie/cake as they were all conveniently packaged and easy to eat at my PC.

I've now switched that for eggs on toast, whatever it is aim for something healthy and take advantage of the convenience of working from home!

On the topic of food, get your food shop delivered. It saves you time and after petrol costs, their delivery fees don't come to much. Since you are at home all day you can opt for the flexi delivery times.

For my 'drive home' I like to use a website called Blinkist. The idea is that their staff read non-fiction books and distill the core information into 15 minute books and audio books. This way I get to read a book a day! You could also use this on your daily walk and listen to the content instead.

Daily Routine

It's too easy to end up sitting at your desk all day. Make sure you get up to walk around and get another drink.

Where I work we use Microsoft Teams to chat to each other via typing. We also encourage video chats. This way you get the social mix of being at an office with the quiet of your own home.
